Traditional Gurung women’s clothing consists of a maroon velvet ghalek (blouse), black/blue lunghi (skirt), with large gold earrings and turquoise and coral necklaces. Men’s clothing is a bhangra, a white cloth tied across the chest and open like a bag in the back (to carry things), and a kachhad, a short sarong/kilt.
